Masala Tosai

Masala Tosai is a very popular Tosai in all of the tosai varieties. Very famous all over the world especially in Asia country.
Masala tosai is a variation of the popular South Indian food dosa, which has its origins in Tuluva Mangalorean cuisine of Karnataka.
Masala tosai/dosa is made by spreading a potato masala as a Tosai topping.

3 potatoes – 240gm ( cubed into 1 cm ) – boil
1 onion ( 100gm )
1 cm ginger ( pounded )
2 clove garlic ( pounded ) 8gm
1 Green Chilli – 10gm
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp urad dhall
1 tsp chana dal
1 tsp meat curry powder
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1/2 tsp Asafetida
Little coriander Leaf
3 cup fermented dosa batter


3 biji ubi kentang – 240gm ( potong dadu 1 cm) – rebus
1 biji bawang merah besar (100gm)
1 cm halia (ditumbuk)
2 ulas bawang putih (ditumbuk) 8gm
1 batang Cili Hijau – 10gm
1/2 sudu kecil biji sawi
1/2 sudu kecil biji jintan putih
1/2 sudu kecil urad dhall ( ulundhu )
1 sudu kecil dal kuda
1 sudu kecil serbuk kari daging
1/2 sudu kecil serbuk kunyit
1/2 sudu kecil Asafetida
Daun ketumbar
3 cawan adunan dosa yang ditapai.
